Three Balkan Region IP Offices Join TMclass

On the 20th April 2015, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) reported that the three IP Offices of the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia (IPORS), the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IIP BIH) and the State Office of Industrial Property (SOIP) of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), have joined OHIM’s TMclass tool.

TMclass, a ‘Classification of Goods and Services tool’ developed by OHIM, assists trademark applicants to search for and classify Goods and Services (terms) and also facilitates the translation, into all EU languages, of the full list of Goods and Services and verifies if those terms appear in the classification databases of the relative Participating Offices.

The TMclass tool now comprises a total of 45 national and regional IP Offices and offers users the opportunity to search and translate terms to and from any of the 34 available languages

Malta joined TMclass on the 16th January 2010.
